The ones I have on there now are old and are just spinning like crazy on the street under only about half throttle...I don't want to be drifting all around out there. Ok here my two pennies on that, since you're not the first with impending tire issues: I say run what ya got, is the extra fraction of a second(s)really worth it to throw on the new tires? Afterall, its just a fun thing, if you go end-around then it'll just add to the fun. Run the goodie off what you have and then throw on the new set. It's about being able to push the car hard around the turns and having the ability to accelerate off that turn and not feather the throttle so much. To me that will take the fun out of it. I was thinking about taking both of my cars out there, since the Firebird does not have the endurance to run all day like the Vette does.
