Grayeagle
That was fun Of course, Kathy an I pulled outta the cracker barrel, I was watchin the truck in front and for oncoming traffic and when I looked up alla Vettes in front of me were gone!Kathy missed which way they went.. and no way were we remembering anything Eddie said about directions So I cruised out Chandler blvd a ways .. hmm .. no cutoff labeled hiway 238 here .. noticed alla Vettes behind us had turned onto the freeway .. so .. U-turn , cut back onto the I-10 and we figured to just blast down the freeway to Casa Grande. Was kinda funny gettin there to find we were the only Phx car to show .. yet ;)(we won the race, eh? .. cheated, sure .. but .. my milk shake was half gone by the time the rest of the Phx group started trickling in -evil grin-)Heard horror stories of gettin lost out in the dark and Vettes just all over the Southwest USA lookin for this mythical 'Sonic' that we were at.-grin-Very nice to see everyone again .. enjoyed it very much! Was a blast -Frank

Eddie44
Just so everyone knows, Elizabeth and I are blaming GM Navigation for us getting lost. It wasn't my planning or Elizabeth's leadership skills Kim and I had a great time. Good to see such a great turnout. I counted 26 Vettes and gave up on counting people. When's the next cruise? I'm ready!

Robert and Elizabeth
Wow, we had a blast seeing everyone last night, new friends and old ones alike. Sorry about the drive down, I'm with Eddie on that. At least the Nav pointed us in the right direction. Robert and I arrived before the rest of the Phoenix crew (except for cheatin Frank). Then about 5 minutes later the rest of the Phoenix crowd showed up. We had ACE members from Tucson, Yuma and Phoenix in attendance. It was a great success! It was also a successful drive because we did not hit any "cows" in the road on the way down! Ok, it was really really dark on the way down in the middle of nowhere. Who knows what creatures could have suddenly appeared on the lonely dark road. Hmmmm, sounds like Halloween. Here is our contribution...... Marana Rich
Hi all, here is a small contribution of photos from Sonic. Nice to see you there. Dewey, welcome back, nice to meet you. Sorry we couldn't get enough open road space to blow that thing out. I did not have that problem coming back to Yuma. I went from Casa Grande to Sierra Vista to Tucson to Casa Grande to Yuma on a tank of gas. The low fuel warning came on, but could only get 16 gallons in the car. Tops down/off sure is noisy.About getting lost, we were cruising west on Florence and I was looking on the left side of the street, because that is where google map showed it. Made a quick lane change to get in, but after the high speed switch on I-10, that was a piece of cake. You folks from Phoenix need to pass out paper maps to Casa Grande before the next cruise. The last two runs we had there, we were finished eating before anyone from up north showed up (except Brian from Flagstaff). Hi, Zachary. Eddie, the photos of my speedometer are for a conversation we had a while back regarding speed and rpm's. I had to momentarily exceed the speed limit for that, so please excuse me. We did attract a lot of attention in that town. You guys sure do have some nice looking cars, and they sound good too. I think Saturday night is the night for them to cruise, and we took up all their places....Let's do it again....soon. I know the manager of the sonic in Yuma...................Congratulations again to Austin on his latest trophies. Keep it shiny. Thanks to Jester for the pics of the show.ACE at Casa Grande Sonic 27 Oct 2007
