LastC3
Anyone do interior pieces yet? How does it lay flat with dips and dimpled edges, could it even fit into a cupholder type console? I'm interested will be doing the center console on the C3 as soon as we get it back from the shop ..... I did try putting in on a round air cleaner with lots of ups and downs and grooves and crevases ..... didn';t like the way it turned out ... so going with powder coat .... will report back when we start on the C3 ,,,,
ChadC
Anyone do interior pieces yet? How does it lay flat with dips and dimpled edges, could it even fit into a cupholder type console? I'm interested the 1080 material can be heated to stretch to over 200% its normal size. the problem is shortly after its applied the 'thinned' glue will not hold the material and it will shrink back to its prior state, leaving creases, peeling and showing seams. the rule of thumb is no more than 30% stretch and this only if there has been an adhesion promoter applied. I'm interested Someone on this forum did interior pieces which looked great. I think you'll need to apply adhesion promoter to help with the install.
