Buccaneer
Well, here's the last of the pics from yesterday and the hood re-clear job. It came out rather nice. I think I'm done posting pics for a while until she's all finished. BTW: I was watching HP TV today and saw that Cuda they were painting. I noticed that the spray gun they were using is the same one I have/used (IWATA 400) and they had the same caps as well, Orange, Silver and the Purple cap. Enjoy! Buccaneer
Thanks Tim. I actually started sanding the rear quarters and tank deck area today and hit it with the wool and foam pad. WOW! does it look nice. I didn't have a lot of time to spend on it, but I'll get around to doing the rest in the coming week or so. Still waiting for all the parts I ordered. I did manage to work on the car a little more today and finished the rear clip and started the front LT fender. I took a cool pic while doing the rear quarter today. I'll post it later. Buccaneer
Oh sorry, here is the pic of the drivers rear quarter after just buffing it, no polishing/swirl remover yet. I thought it looked pretty good anyway. The house is 100+ feet away and I was in the garage.

I'd be scared to park anywhere.....Tom are you like the armor all commercial with whoever, the nascar guy (sorry nascar fans-I just don't care to look it up), sitting staring at how beautiful the paint looks?M~LMAO no, but I am scaring myself from time to time with this project. I did finally get my order with all the weatherstripping and other parts. Everything in the world is good, right? Nope! they didn't send the items I need to finish the doors and the side window rear strips are gray, not black...WTF...DAMNIT! I ordered it all from Corvette Central only becasue of the price, but they also get there weatherstripping from http://www.metrommp.com/ which should be ok. Now I have to send this back and wait even longer to finish. So much for maybe being able to drive it within a month. Hey Phill, even cooler pic would have been you taking the pic and having the reflection of yourself in the panel on your cool 82. You need to stop by when I'm doing the doors so you can see what's involved before you tackle your 82 painting. Is really is a ton of work depending on how you want it to look. I bet I could spend another 200 hours sanding on mine and still not be satisfied...just ask my wife.
