ChadC
well I took a week off to let my back heal. The new rad support is in place. the orignal was bent and raising the Rad up to high. It was causing interference with the Inlet duct. In my zeliousness I cut too much off of a tab. Now the Rad sat to low on the driver side. SO I had to cut Puckey. Now its the correct heigh and I made a slot so it does not float. From the frontfrom the rearthis is where the S/C kit fails. the top of the Rad is unsupported and left to wobble. so in my first ever i made a bracket to lock it down. its not pritty, but it will do the job

ChadC
Well RObert any my friend helped out all day on saturday. Wer got everyting buttoned up and She fired up!woo hoo. and now for the bad news...after about 4 miles and a few 80% WOT the oil pressure dropped to 15PSI at idle and 20PSI at crusing. The rockers started knocking due to starvation. there are a few things that could have happened.-The oil pickup tube got dislodged from the Oil pick up screen. This requires removing the oil pan. Pulling the oil pan means you have to pull out the engine cradle and tie a chain to the engine from above to suppport it. - the Oil pick up tube O ring got pinched. I would have to pull EVERYTHING I just put in back off. - Locktite was used and a fragment forced the Oil bypass to be stuck open. Same work as O Ring- The Oil pump failed. Unlikely. Same work as O ring- I spun a Rod Bering or Cam Shaft Bering. I dont think this has happened, because the work involved would require buying a new engine. I would have to shoot myself instead. now I have to get a tow truck to take it to LPM.

Big Poppa
The oil pump doesn't have a clutch on it does it? Sooo, was it fast and happy before it ran out of oil? Is it possible that the problem is the oil return line that had the RTV silicone all over it is partially plugged with silicone? That would at least be an easy fix. Quiktrip
That SUX!!! It's weird that it ran so long in the garage only to go bad on the road. I'm sorry I wasn't there but glad I didn't have to see the look on your face that you must have had. Hope it's something easy and CHEAP. If you find out that it was something that I did, don't tell me just shoot me when I'm not looking. Robert

ChadC
I pulled the oil filter and drain plug. there was a big mix of dark grey compound and small metal particels within the oil. not good. will know more in the next 46 hours. Desertdawg
Grey compound and shavings, THAT is not good!Could be a chewed up oil pump, but I would bet on cam related. My sympathies Chad !
