So does that mean the verts are out without a roll bar????To bad they won't allow Corvette spectators for a fee!I think you should still be allowed to run, you don't go fast enough for roll bar...I think. Desertdawg Posted July 15, 2008 Share Posted July 15, 2008 The old rule was 13.99 and you needed a roll bar, the only way we could run without one was at Speedworld on a club day when they relaxed the rules....My best was 13.61, I've swapped gears since then so I should be faster than the 13.49 now, I would hate to pay almost 200 bucks then get booted from the track. I got a call from Eric at Bondurant and he told me they have not got a ZR1 yet so there will be no ZR1 rides at the event (I bought 2 rides...). Furthermore, they have reduced the event down significantly so it is only a hot lap in a C6, lead and follow, and an autocross. He said it would probably only be 9-12am. Even the karts and drag racing sessions are gone. Since I road race my Z quite a bit, the hot lap and lead and follow are no big deal to me and I'm not an autocross fan. So, I told him to give me a refund. It's not anywhere near the event it was advertised to be. I bet the economy had a lot to do with it too.I just thought those of you who registered should know.
