Retired from the Air Force at Luke in December 1993 - was running the Contracting Squadron there. Planning for last and final retirement in June '09. Wife is also retired Air Force and now retired educator from Litchfield Park. kwikvet
as you all know, the banking and mortgage industry is in turmoil. Last bank I was with shut down our Arizona mortgage operations right before the holidays (Merry Christmas! Traditional Xmas colors are green and red, mine however was pink). Took a little break and spent a week back in Northern Ohio over the holidays, so I could remember why I left in the first place. Happy to report I've landed a new job with a bank thats very solvent, and in a huge growth mode in the mortgage division. Working for Wells Fargo in the Tempe call center as a mortgage specialist. We are recieving about 60,000 calls per day regarding refinances on a unique no closing costs refi program, and rates are better than I have ever seen in my 15 years in this business. Wish me luck, but I think this could be a good long term employer, based on their strength and reputation.
1EVLC7
Great to hear Rick, best of luck to ya. I hope everything works out for you. Sounds like it turned out to be a Happy New Year for you
Bigfoot
Indeed...congrats. So, what are the rates. I'm considering if I can lower my years and keep the payment I have.
kwikvet
Indeed...congrats. So, what are the rates. I'm considering if I can lower my years and keep the payment I have. I was in training this week (was comical, I've been supervising and training loan officers for 15 years, but I'm keeping my mouth shut and being a good pupil) but from what I saw, fixed 30 year with closing costs @4.75%, 15 year @ 4.50%, and the no cost refi (wells pays All closing costs) around 5.0% as always, rates subject to change and qualification, and APR's vary with loan amount (legal mumbo jumbo required) Thanks for the support and well wishes, if I can help any ACE member, ill be glad to! Quicksilver98
Me...I am just another computer nerd. Been working for IBM for 21+ years. Started out in field service working on the original PC's and retail store systems. Then went into banking systems, check sorters and midrange systems known as AS/400's and SYS36. Then eventually I got tired of the 2am callouts and working weekends so I moved out here to Arizona and starting working at the plant site where we design our enterprise class disk storage and tape subsystems. I currently work Service Planning as a interface between our field force and the Engineers. (I get to tell the Engineers where they screwed up and how to make the products more useable to the customer and field service folks.) Heidi, my Fiance` works as a hair stylist in a Salon down here in Tucson. Anyone looking for a haircut? She does a damn fine job. She currently works at Realistic Salon at 22nd and Camino Seco being the nearest cross roads. Anybody looking for a IBM/Lenovo PC? On occasion the company has sales on both new and used ones. Its suppose to be for friends and family but hell....I consider you all my friends. If anyone is interested I could send you a link and my "secret password" then you can order one from them. Usually used laptops start at 250-300 and used desktops cheaper then that. Depending on the speed and options of course. I don't think the desktops include the displays as they are listed separate. They are not the fastest at shipping but atleast you get some warranty with them. You can get new ones too. Sometimes they have good deals and sometimes not so good. My email is cboutelle@cox.net in case you cant get a hold of me on the forum.

Tim
I work foran educational furniture manufacturer, Euro Design Systems. We manufacture desks, lecterns, computer stations, multimedia furniture, cabinetry.... I am the sales dept, delivery guy, webmaster, customer service dept, half of the design staff, errand boy, IT department, and usually the only guy you'll catch sleeping a his desk. At least it's a nice desk.... I'm glad I found this thread....my wife is an interior designer, will graduate with her 4 year degree in May this year (2009). She plans on focusing on commerical and hospitatily design. She has already won state wide awards for ASID Professional (3rd) and Student (1st) entries award for the design of our bedroom (Feb 09 Tucson Life Styles). Sounds the Euro Design Systems would be a good resource. She interned with a commerical design firm and worked on a TMC project (or was it UMC?) and a couple DM AFB projects.
