vette4lyn Posted August 18, 2014 Author Share Posted August 18, 2014 Im still going to try and make this one - It will probably just be a day trip, Im registered, Im going to Vegas the following day so I decided to give up my room - if anyone is interested let me know, Ill probably cancel this week. You have a valuable room! We have three events here on the same weekend. On the Square next to the car show will also be Octoberfest.... lots of beer and wine! They wanted the same weekend as us again this year. Also, in Prescott Valley there is another car show in the Kohl's parking lot... Tru Metal. Hotel rooms are getting very scarce for the weekend of Sept 27th in this area. I'm surprised you don't have any takers for you room you have reserved and are cancelling.... Call owner, Marisela at 710-6115. Tell her you are friends of Steve and Lyn DeLano who own the white Hyundai Genesis (we do our own Corvette so she has never done it). She is very busy and does a lot of work for the dealerships. She has broken English so you will have to listen carefully. She had washes and hand details, and uses her own blend of waxes and sealers. She is located at 697 Sixth St, building #4. She is just down the street from Magic Glass and the Prescott Fire Station on Sixth. 187'ed C7 Posted August 25, 2014 Share Posted August 25, 2014 So, first and foremost we had a great time on the cruise to Flag yesterday... Thank you all for the warm hospitality and the truly fun drive... I never knew driving the "speed limit" would be so much fun... LOL Especially the twisty bits... Needless to say, I had a couple of opportunities to run the C7 through the settings - Track mode was by far the best for me... The car really dug into the apex's which created this silly ass "perma grin" off my face that I cant wipe off... Sorry for this long winded message so, I'll get to the point; We are planning on coming to this event but, have my sons HS football game in Winslow Friday night. The plan would be to drive to Prescott after the game and arriving late so, my question is; Of the Hotels on the list, which one would be best? The casino sounds good but, open to expert opinions... I think if it was me I'd stop in Flag, Sedona, or Cottonwood then drive in to meet the group in the morning.
