nort99
What a big turn out for this event. I think there was like 40 cars. Lots of Yellow out there today, lambo style. We had a good run going until the uniform boys decided to give us a hard time at Wickenburg. No one got a ticket, just a hard time. So sad today a motorcycle rider lost his or her life on the same road we were all on. After we got past that we headed up to eat lunch. Which was great, or at least mine was. Most returned home on there own after eating. All in all a good day.

jmartin
yeah apparently thats what I heard from more than a couple of people, while I was escorting my lovely wife to the bathroom was when the officer showed up and he wanted to know who was car this is as he pointed at mine. And then was called away before I returned so I told. They said someone called in and reported being passed by me at excessive speeds, I guess next time someone passes me Im callin the cops! ChadC
I was wondering why the cop was there. "4 people phoned in saying we were speeding" Was the exact words used by the officer. Come on! A: the cop dident see us speeding, ergo , he cant issue a ticket.B: How many 911 dispatch units are going to relay a call "I saw a bunch of fast cars going like 1 MILLION MPH!" OMG! WTF! LOL!The cop saw a group of cars 'looking for trouble' and wanted to run plates and ID's for warrents or thefts.HE could be trying to play gotcha games and prodding for someone to make a statemt like "I wasent reckless driving! I was only going 8 MPH over"Bang! admission of guilt. Ticket issued.
Eddie44
Believe it or not people do call in all the time on reckless driving, DUI, etc. It's seldom that there is an Officer in the area and available at the right time. You know the old saying "never a cop around when you need one!" As for the statement generating a ticket, can't be done legally. As you said if they don't observe the violation they can't issue a citation. Admission is not enough w/o other evidence. If they had other witnesses (ie the callers) and they were willing to assist and your admission they might cite but I really don't think 90% of cops would cite. Sounds like a great time! Most returned home on there own after eating. All in all a good day. So, I've got the family packed up in the truck, headin' back to town from Vega$ today, and as we get into Wickenburg I see not one---but two Panteras go by , so I scream and point, then quiz the boys on what make/model car they were (its a game, ....we've been driving 1,800 miles ), and then ALL OF US are shouting and pointing.....at a vast array of exotic machines, all crammed into a Shell station. And best of all, there's a cop pulled up behind two fly yellow Gallardos at the back of the pack! What a sight, and my dumbass packed the camera in the luggage. Anyway, we all made bets on how fast the Lambos had been going and tried to name as many cars as we could the rest of the way home. That was awesome! Glad to hear there was no ticket or incident in your group. RIP unknown rider.

phxscooby101
Thanks Joe from SECC for the great ride you guys have some very sweet cars.Did anyone get stuck in that back from sunset point to phoenix? Supposedlly there were 3 different accidents. We decided to turn around at sunset point and go back up to Prescott and take our original route back. No cops and it just rained in mountains, we did have company This event seemed to have a whole lota horsepower going on Now where did I put that 150 shot of nitrous Chad
Scratch
Don't know what that traffic jam at Sunset Point was about...no wrecks anywhere all the way to Phx. We stopped at the outlet stores, and as I'm standing out front, to of the Lambos cruise past, still making noise and shifting

Loud Pedal
We did too. What a great day though. Some gorgeous machines. This was pretty funny. The moment I pulled up somebody said "looks like the fastest car just showed up". It was good to see you guys there. Hopefully we can skip the talks with Barney next time. Anybody know who the guy is with the yellow Z? We were talking about tuning and forgot to get his name/number.

AZ FASTEST
Here's a picture of the fracas at the Shell station.... Also the traffic jam ended just at the bottom of the hill before Rock Springs. It was a hoot passing the Lambos that had left Prescott before me by getting off at Sunset Point and passing 100 cars and then getting right back on. $600,000 worth of 'exotics' moving at 1 mph!!! They finally caught up at the Carefree Highway!
