It looks like monday or tuesday she'll be ready. :black vette:

Went with the Textralia clutch instead of the SPEC. That was a tough call, I hope it works out like I expect.

I also decided to change out the rubber for Nitto Invo fronts ( thanks anmracing ) and hoosier R6 rears. She should hook up nicely. If it rains, I'll be calling a cab though. :lol

The oem tires have some life left in them. The rears have already been heat cycled :burnout and they're free to a good home. PM me if you want 'em.

Anybody have any opinions about the beefed up tunnel plates? He has one down there, and mine's already off. Just wondering if its worth it.

Robert and Elizabeth

The heat is so inconsequental to us. We don't leave CD's in the center console because of it. It also add's weight to your Z. My vote: No, not necessary.

Just make sure Jason has that aluminum foil stuff in there (he knows what we are talking about) in the tunnel and you'll be fine.

I don't know about C6's, but on the C5 the beefed up tunnel plates really stiffen up the whole chasis. Plus the heat shielding is great. :thumbs

:agree

The stiffening factor would be the primary gain. And hell, when is that a bad thing?

Like E said, the heat is not really a big issue but being AZ... it certainly wouldn't hurt either.

Thanks Phil I just got the potatoe thing too....:lol

Dave, the weight thing isn't really that big of a deal. you will be suprised when you pick up the new tunnel plate just how light it really is, mine couldn't have weighed much over 5 pounds.

And it's about as low to the ground as you can get if you had to add weight...

500-700 miles clutch break-in by Saturday. Not likely, but we'll see...

While CaHd is giving you spelling lessons, you should let him break in your new clutch.... :lol

He isn't known as "Chad the Clutch Destroyer" for nothing...

I have heard the Textralia Clutch is very good and does not require a major break in period. You might want to check with Glen P.
