There’s a cruise/hangout event planned for that night. Right after cruisers were kicked off Central Ave, they (we) started cruising Metrocenter. The Friday/Saturday night businesses on Central that depended on cruisers for 20+ years, quickly failed. It didn't take long for Metrocenter to install gates and police to prevent cruising, but that quickly affected all the regular patrons too.
