TheCMSH
Update from Barb this morning:Cale showing some improvement today. His lungs are getting stronger and all signs point to him continuing to improve, still very much a day by day thing but all things considered any improvement is amazing news. Still sedated and on breathing/oxygenation machines but the doctors are pleased with his progress. Thanks so much to all the ACE friends for all the thoughts and prayers.Keep all the positive thoughts and prayers coming gang, hopefully Cale can continue to improve and get off all these Dr. Frankenstein machines. Still a very guarded situation but there is momentum the right direction at this time.On a personal note, so many thanks to all of you for rooting and praying for my friendJim (Der Commish)

TheCMSH
Update: Continued improvement. At this rate he will hopefully be removed from the ECMO (google that if you want to check how serious this all is) machine by Monday. Still sedated to allow him to relax and let his lungs heal, things are going the right direction. Thanks to all for all the love and support, Merry Christmas to all. Desertdawg
Do you think his skiing / altitude issue a few years ago made this worse than it should have been? keep pushing Cale. We need you better soon dammit.

Same thing happened with my Dad years back

TheCMSH
Could not have better news to pass along on Christmas morning, from Barb: "It's a very merry Christmas for us. They removed the cannulas today and he's down to just the breathing tube. No more ECMO! He's almost breathing on his own, so they will monitor to see if they can remove the tubes today or tomorrow. This is amazing news and we thank you for all of your love and support!"
