Buccaneer
I have Cox Fiber and I'm getting 96.27 Download and 95.56 Upload. That was early in the morning with only me on the internet. I was gonna say if you are only getting 96 down with fiber, you have a serious issue. You should be getting what Chad is getting or there a bouts. They DO NOT have Gigablast in Gilbert yet, but I am waiting. The best I've seen is 330 down, but for some reason going through my Hp 48 port GB switch, it knocks it down to 100 down. If I go directly from modem Arris SB6183 to router, it's 300+ down hardwired and 260 down WiFi. Haven't figured that one out yet. Since its a little older switch 09 model, I'm going to try a x-over cable and see if that helps vs. auto negotiate. Its not uncommon to still have new 48 or 24 port switches sold that will only support 10/100 speeds. I have seen it in industrial and come commercial. the x-over has no relevant on the set negotiated link speed. Welllll... I had my son go pick up a X-over cable and give it a try. Huh, I now have GB connectivity going through the router now, imagine that. I'm a happy camper and it was relevant like I thought.
Dakotaz
Ok thanks to Chad and Bucaneer I now have something a little better. Kid is upstairs doing his thing but the speed looks much better with the addition of a $15 network card. Need to test again when my son isn't doing his games upstairs. Not sure if that would affect it or not.

I would, jus a suggestion.

I was thinking the gaming might have slowed it down but no. Will have to call Cox this week. I might try to disable my anti virus to see it that could be slowing it down too. Thanks for your help. FNBADAZ06
Just had Gigablast service installed at the house........950 down 975 up.My original Net Gear R7000 Nighthawk router/wi-fi/gigabit switch was throttling the incoming connection down to 550 to the wired clients.....Cox commented that there are many units they have worked with that have had trouble working with the Gigabit speeds. They supplied me with a new Net Gear unit, even gave me a USB wi-fi adapter to use on my legacy devices.

HOXXOH
I guess 16 down is good, since I'm happy with that and Joyce (who pays the bill) is only paying for 15 max.About 30 years ago, I was happy with 300 baud on the phone cradle, because it was an upgrade from the 120.
