The first Saturday of the month, Rock Springs Cafe puts on their Hogs In Heat BBQ. This is outside on their lower deck. Live music, dancing and all you can eat beef, pork and chicken with the fix'ins for $12.00 per person. If you are brave enough, rocky mountain oysters are $5.00 additional. This is the place that has the famous Jack Daniel's pecan pie. After 7June, they shut this event down until September, so I thought this would give folks the time to decide. I just talked with a gal up there. They do take reservations so that all of us that want to can sit and enjoy together. There is a separate lot that is dirt that we could park the cars in. The regular parking gets kinda full. Time is 1.00 P.M. to 11.00 P.M. If there is enough interest, they will set up an early reservation and can adjust the number to keep us together. This would be a relatively short drive for the valley located folks. Just north of Black Canyon City, on the west side of I-17. It is also the same Saturday as C&C and Corvette Saturday at the PAVS in case it seems like there isn't a lot of interest. It's always somethin!!!! I spoke with some of the Yuma folks at the 10th anniversary get together, they used to do a run to Julian CA every year but had not anything cued up at this time. There might be the best opportunity to get a larger San Diego run put together. Otherwise, just post up a date YOU want to go and more than likely others may and will follow September is the big Prescott show and generally near that time the Prescott folks have an event in BCC. The funny thing about this group is that something doesn't appear to get any momentum and then 2 weeks before it happens the doors get blown off and a bunch end up there. Decide what, when, where you want to have an event, and post it up here. Stick to your plan and be patient. The last time we went there we made reservations at Cliff Castle Casino and saw Willy Nelson. Oh Yes, Francie is no longer on Chemo, so far is Cancer free, and trying to get her strength back after six months of living hell.....and only today asked when we can get out with the Vette again.
