Big Poppa
Mike....Can you get my ride in the mid 10's? Yes its called Busa Motor and turbo and nitrous. When I replaied this same thing yesterday, I was looking for a pic online, and found a company making v8 engines based off of the Busa engine.http://www.h1v8.com/page/page/1562068.htmIt's only good for like 450 hp without turbos, but still sounds fun. Ted Y
All that for $28,000. I guess if you need a lightweight racing engine with 400hp, it may be the way to go.
Desertdawg
So Dave, is it faster yet?
Loud Pedal
Unfortunately... no. The guy I bought the heads from left out the small detail that the port job wasn't done right. The only reason I bought these was the guy was trying to take his car back to stock to sell it and the heads and throttle body were the only things I left alone in the induction system. It looks like he's getting them back.We gained -4 HP. According to Nic, they just aren't flowing like they should. I am going to be sending my heads out to Flow tech to have them done right. Bummer. I feel bad for Mike who came in on a Sunday to put these on for me.
Guest Kens06
Too bad about the heads Dave Quick question, Isn't the 427 bottom end forged except for the pistons??I know the crank is forged, the rods are TI and the pistons are the only kink in the armor!!Ken
