Phill's Vette
Iam in the process on installing an audio system in the 82; in other cars I have had to run the amp ground wires to a good ground spot close to the amps. The amps for the vette will be close to the battery as the battery sit behind the back seat. So can I just run the grounds directly to the negative top post on my Optima Redtop instead of to a typical good metal ground? I don't see why not, but thought I'd better ask first. Thanks! Desertdawg
Yes! How's that for short and sweet?
1EvilC5
That is how mine is grounded.
goldenC4
Not only can you, it's better that way... you avoid extra noise in the system due to ground-loops. In my Jeep the only way I could get the CB to be even usable was to run power and ground straight from the battery.
