Grayeagle
Yanno .. I am beginning to get the distinct impression that a Corvette is just not compatible with rain.Walk out of work tonite, fire it up ..no dash lights.. no tail lights, brake lights ok, headlights ok.Grr-rr.Got it home without incident .. when I get UP tomorrow mornin I will look at fuses .. again.Yanno .. it's DARK inside that car at nite with no interior lights to speak of.-Frank (what next?)(trade in is becoming a more viable option by the day)

Grayeagle
Thx Ed... #6 in the footwell was blown, replaced, tail lights are back on line (at least for now). The really strange thing is ..when I replaced that fuse, turned the running lights on to check tail lights, then turned 'em off.....the drivers side flippy door went down.<insert classic Tim Allen monky grunt here>So I flipped em on an off a coupla times ..on closin the motor was really complaining (close limiter probably set too tight as the motor was sounding like it was grinding up logs or some such .. just a guess tho)-puzzled look- ..why would tail light fuse #6 ....ahh heck who cares at this point. The flippy door stopped working again anyway. Fuse good .. I am done for the day.Gonna suck down a cold coke, relax, see what CnV has on their website, ....restrain myself from deciding to rewire the whole damn car.-Frank

jstrutt
Relax Frank. Today I was headed into the city (60 miles) and suddenly the dreaded:SERVICE ENGINE SOON.....REDUCED ENGINE POWER.....CHECK TRACTION SYS.....or something like thatlimp her to the city into my tech who does the codes and puter thingy. Throttle sensor shot. That's not bad but 5 days to get one in sucks the big kahoona. But better now then in a month when I'm headed your way. ChadC
it is not uncommon im cars to have the dash lights go dark as a warning to the driver that the lail lights are bad.
