Good dealer recommendation?

I plowed my right front tire into a curb hard enough for the rotor to make contact with the lower control arm... ( Don't ask ).

So, what local dealers do you all trust enough to be honest about what does/doesn't need to be repaired. It may just need a alignment though I would be surprised if nothing is bent.

Thx

Many would argue that you can't really trust any dealer service dept. with your Corvette. Here's a recent thread from the CF to look at:

If this is not warranty work, I'd suggest you go to a Vette specialist like Doug Bromley of Bromley's Performance Corvette at (480) 390-2652, Ken Carollo of The Vette Shoppe at (480) 945-9030, ADS in Chandler http://www.adsaz.biz/, Arizona AutoMasters http://www.azautomasters.com/

Dealers are not the best place to have your Corvette repaired. Bromley's is the only shop above that I've used, and I'm happy.

I really don't like large dealers, but for whatever reason, I always seem to have luck with Midway Chevy on Bell Rd. I bought a truck at Midway GMC and hated them ever since, but the Chevy guys always treat me pretty good...

I know some people who had some problems, but they always seem to hook me up....

The gateway Chevrolet guys at 101 and 99th Ave always seem to be nice to me. I would recommend them and their prices aren't too shabby either.

I have had John at Service First work on my 79, 84, and 90. He is thorough and tells you exactly what you need done. Have had him work on our vehicles for about 5 years and would not go elseware. His shop is a block north of Home Depot above Cactus on Cave Creek. He is working on a 69 427 now and a Pantera.

I live in Tempe and am relatively close to Chapman, Thoroughbred or Freeway. Does anybody have a service writer they can recommend or one to steer clear of? The 2003 is still under warranty and I might have a few minor things to fix up

Chapman is the host for Desert Corvette, a very large Corvette club in the valley. I am sure they don't want to piss off any Vette owners. I don't have a service person to recommend, but I would recommend Chapman in general.

Chapman just lost 4 of 8 writers. They are in a serious bind right now. The service drive is a firedrill. :bang I'd stay away from them for awhile.

Freeway Chev (owned by Chapman) ask for Nick. He's been a hot rodder since before his Dad took away his tricycle. Ask him how many Vettes he has owned. He may have a "show" Mopar at present.

Thorobred Chevrolet - Martha Garrett - 480-814-1255

I was treated as if I was a dignitary. The drivers side gas tank began to leak. i took it in early afternoon on Monday, they diagnosed it within a couple hrs. Ordered the parts. They noticed on my warranty work that I had a regulater replaced by another dealer a couple months ago on the passenger side window, they noticed a noise coming from it that shouldn't be there, Martha called me and asked if I wished them to correct it, I said yes and it was done within 1 hr. Their van took me to work when I left the car, and they picked me up to go back and get it. Many calls to update me on its progress, explained what they had to do to get to the tank etc. I was impressed and will go there for any other warranty work necessary.
