What are people using for a spare on C3's?

Our has the original spare which leaks air at the bead.

Can we have it dismounted, clean the bead and remount?

If not, what is everyone using for a spare.

What if we just carry a can of 'flat fix' to pump up the spare if we ever need to actually use it?

I am not running a spare since 17x9.5's won't fit in the stock carrier.

I carry AAA, but should get a can or two of Slime or Fix-A-Flat.

Spare tire? My '79 didn't have a spare tire.

I've got the space saver spare, but it, an he carrier are out of the car until I decide to take a trip out of town (re: anywhere north of Marana)

Melissa is using a a full size spare on a ralley wheel for a spare.

If it is leaking at the bead, it will definately need to be dismounted, use a high speed wire brush on the wheel itself to clean the rust, dirt, etc. off of the wheel. Tire shops like Discount Tire can do this for you and then have them use some bead sealer around the bead and "viola" it won't leak anymore.
