Now the boost controller goes in and we turn up the boost . BSeery Posted September 10, 2005 Share Posted September 10, 2005 How much money was involved in the project, start to finish?Any other mods besides the turbo kit?I find it hard to believe a turbo can get a C5 in the mid 9's on pump gas, no NOS or motor work. P51tj Posted September 10, 2005 Share Posted September 10, 2005 New Setup for 2005 CARTEK built 388-Cid with Cartek prepped AFR 225's , Cartek turbo cam , and a Cartek/STS single rear mount Precision GT-76 Turbo , RPM aka Rodney 4L60E Initial track #s so far , 9.88 at 138 on 16-in Drag radials , 10lbs of boost and 93 octane . Togo Posted September 11, 2005 Share Posted September 11, 2005 hey mike - i heard there is also an STS TWIN kit - has one been installed and ran?then my stupid question - you would think that if 1 big turbo was good, 2 medium to big turbos would be better - why does it seem that some of the supra guys are pulling the twins and opting for a single big turbo (i realize supras are a bit of a different animal, as i heard they are sequential turbos - that doesn't hold true for say a vette TT setup.)so is 1 better or is 2 better?and WHY?
