ptindall
We may come and watch. What is the cost for spectators Ken?Spectators are free. But nobody should be afraid to drive. The class and red group are very laid back. You can drive as slow as you want. West track is only 1.1 miles and is pretty tight. I just touch the rev limiter in third at the end of the straight @ 100mph. And I drive the entire course in third gear. No gear changing makes for very easy driving. I'll be out there that day running in yellow (intermidiate) or green (advanced street car) group so I'll meet some of you people for the first time. Here area couple videos of me on west track in 2x speed.http://youtube.com/watch?v=zzwDoYpOAwghttp://youtube.com/watch?v=Eoz0qkgGiFgIt will be cool to see so many vettes there, I look foward to it! Guest Kens06
What, I wasn't there? Oh that's right, Gary was there and it sticks in my mind because I actually saw dust on his car!! He must have run through the clouds from Ted's offroad experience or that pissed off porsche! We may come and watch. What is the cost for spectators Ken?Elizabeth, you need to do the instructional group! You will have a blast!I did the first session on the west with an instructor to learn the line. I was in third the whole 20 min stint and never even bothered to go to comp mode. The second stint was with a different instructor who used a different line and brake points. It's a fun learning experience about your cars capabilities!!They get angry when you call it the generic DE or HPDE!!It's a Performance Driving Program..........It actually qualified me for a discount on my Hartford/AARP auto insurance policy! All you need is a helmet and your car to have a great time!Oh and $100 ;) Ken
Malcolm
Dave and Mark ran last year and the license renewal is included and you jump to the red group!!Malcome and Tom were also there and will be again!!What, I wasn't there? I will contest that Gary was there, although he was always in my rear view mirror. Even when I was lapping him, he was still in my rear view from the lap before. Yes, folks, that was the infamous weekend of the Great Snail Race. Gary, are you going to show up this time?Malcolm

Any other safety equip necessary?HawkeyeNo Sir!!You can run your DD if you like!I'm just using the Z06Vette.com name because I'm trying to give the west coast members from that forum an event similar to the Z06 Fest in Bowling Green Ky!They don't seem to be responding as well as the locals, so I may have to change the name!!Helmet req are different for each event, but if you have a SA 95 rated or better, it works everywhere! Please come out, you will have a blast!!Ken
