Robert and Elizabeth
Today our ported manifold came in, exactly one month to the day when we ordered it from Jason at Xtreme (unlike an un-mentioned place that could not get us one in 4+ months). It took about a half hour to install and we were off. Vanessa is now maxed N/A unless something else comes to our attention to get more HP. The result: We really can't feel a difference in torque because the tires are now spinning so badly! This was not the case before the manifold install. There was no drama before the install. There was tire spin in 1st and part of 2nd gear, but no drama and it was predictable. Now, well lets just say I need to shift because the rpms are redlined, but we aren't going very fast because of major tire spin through 1st, 2nd and into 3rd gear. So, there you go. It was worth the wait!Thank you Jason at Xtreme Motorsports for helping us get through this transition!! Here are the pictures with lots of pointing! Here is the new ported manifold......Here is another angle of the new ported manifold.......Here is Boone and Cody working the old stock manifold out.....Here is Vanessa's inerds (she is blushing!)......Here is the new and old one side by side, the new one is on the top and the stock one is on the bottom.....Here is Boone and Cody installing the new one....... Robert and Elizabeth
Thanks everyone for your compliments. :D We would love to switch to DRs permanetly, but there is two problems with that. First, we have been advised we would have to upgrade the half shafts and the axle. This is because they are weak in the C6s especially the left one. Second, this is a daily driver and E~ drives 50 miles roundtrip to work and we want something that has tread longevity. It can get mighty expensive at $400+ per tire every 4k miles, or 3-4 months. We have had the Michelin Pilots for 11 months now and 10k miles and they still have quite a bit of tread left. We will definitly upgrade to the PS2s next. We hear they are softer and should help with increased traction. Unfortunately, just not as good as DRs.

Jason L
Robert and Elizabeth even though the PS2's aren't dr's I think you will like them a lot, about 90% of the vettes that come through the shop are running them :-D wish someone could make a really sticky dr that would last for 15k miles haha. My last set of BFG drags I got 2800 miles out of them haha. -Jason
Guest AZ Power & Sound
Unmentioned place? They are making a comment about me because the company we ordered the intake from took forever to port it... somehow thats my fault apparently.
