Togo Posted June 26, 2005 Share Posted June 26, 2005 Hey Waymire - water DOES boil at 260 just like Mike told you! : i was attempting to remove the radiator shroud yesterday while also changing the throttle body out!well i couldn't totally figure out how to get the shroud off so i put it back together cuz i wanted to take it for a drive.got out on the road with a super high idle (1000-2000 RPM) and thought that was bad - all the while the temps kept creeping up pulled into the drive way, opened the garage got back in the car - TEMP WARNING 260* backed the car in the garage temp is 261* , shut the car down, then comes the steam - burst a heater hose (that appears to be dealer only) why did this happen you ask - well i uplugged the fans from the relays - and when buttoning it back up - i forgot to plug them back in! DOH! so now i'm looking for a heater hose so i can button her back up and get that damn new TB figured out/dialed in! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
