Ted Y
Has anyone worked on a wiper motor system on a C3? I spent most of the day working on Chris' yeller 70 coupe and got all the components for the vacuum system working, except the wiper motor just clicks. It looks like there is a relay next to the motor. Even though the microswitch was pressed, the motor will not turn. Does anyone have any trouble shooting tips before we just start blindly replacing parts?Do these motors typically go bad? It definitely looks like the original part. Thanks. Desertdawg
Just shooting in the dark here until Chad replies...Is the motor actually spinning? if so did it shear the mounting point where it hooks to the mechanism???If the motor isn't turning, I would say it probably gave it's life during the last rain. Ted Y
Actually, I'm pretty sure the relay next to it is what's clicking.
ChadC
i never got mine to workther are 2 connectors a 2 wire and a 3 wirethe 2 wire is for the fluid (i think) the 3 wire is for the moter. one for High, one for Low, and one constant power for "reset to home position" each one is 12 volts, and you can hook jumpers up to it to test. thats all I got for now.
