rickety
I've owned my 1982 Corvette for 20 years. I'm that time I have put three sets of electric door locks actuators in it. They work great at first but slowly through the years they lose the power to lock & unlock. I'm averaging 5-6 years to a set. Just wondering if this is a normal situation for a car that is not driven frequently. Thanks!
Buccaneer
Mine are starting to slow a bit, but mine are original. May be that the new ones are all...Made in China? I'll leave mine alone until they go out. GL
rickety
They probably were. Bought them through a couple different corvette supply dealers. They probably stock the same part from the same manufacturer.

Extender32
Julie's 78 still have the original door locks too.
Desertdawg
I thought there was a newer part that fit the 82’s. Like something from the mid 90’s that performed better.
rickety
That's a great idea! I'll give you a heads up when I need to take her out for a spin again!
rickety
The later style actuator idea would make sense. I'll do some research. Thanks
