scottcolbath
This story has a Vette theme wound in. I flew up to San Francisco on Saturday, picked up this bike, and rode it home on Sunday. A nice, sanitary 1999 Triumph 955I. It's for sale, but only after I've gone through it, and sanitized it. Anyway, a friend knew about my travels, and was doing a track day out at Fontana last Sunday. He told me to stop by and do some laps with him. I passed through Fontucky right about noon-ish. I pull into the track, and his garage, and there's no car there. Someone said he was probably out on the track. A few minutes later, a Vette pulls into the stall next to my friends. He asks me if I'm waiting for Stu. I say yes. He tells me Stu crashed, and the car is toast. But Stu is OK, and has already left the track. Shit. What a bummer. It was a C7 Z06. This guy is fast, and experienced. I pinged him. He is OK, but didn't want to get into any details yet. So I left it alone. S.C.
