Digital Disaster
I'm looking for a shop/individual in the North Valley that:1. Knows and understands Vettes2. Won't abuse my car on "test" drives3. Won't return car coated inside and out with greasy fingerprints, etc.4. Charges realistically.I don't care if this is just somebody working out of their garage as long as they're good and fully equipped.Does anybody here know of such a place or is this just a fantasy? Thank you!
MOTV8
I've been looking up here for awhile now, and I've figured the best solution is to get Steve (Uvettya) and Tracy (Quadrcr) to work on my car together, for beers and "test" rides. You didn't say what you needed work on...repairs or mods, but I've heard good things about this "speed" shop up in Anthem from some biz clients: Linkski , but I don't know how pricey they are. Other than that, most peeps here are taking their toys to Classic Gold, AZP&S, ADS, or Xtreme...all of which are not up north. You might try Frank Dunshee at his place:Corvette Dunshees Parts7304 W Villa Rita DrGlendale, AZ 85308Phone : (602) 938-8895He has a lift in his garage and I know he does brakes. Don't know what else though....

3,503 lbs of trouble
I'm looking for a shop/individual in the North Valley that:1. Knows and understands Vettes2. Frank Dunshee is a great guy, and deserves your business for parts, but a full service Corvette repair he is not. Someone fully equipped working out of their garage? Yea right. Simply think about that for a moment. Not gonna happen.I suggest ADS in Chandler, or AZ Power & Sound in Tempe for a C4 - C6. I suggest Bromley's in Chandler for C3 and earlier. It's only across town, not the other side of the planet. If I want a specialty shop for my DeLorean my options are Houston, Los Angeles, Chicago Bonita Springs Florida or my preferred shop in West Sayville Long Island NY. So don't go boo-hoo'n about having to drive to the East Valley for good Corvette service.

If it's simple, why do you need a specialist? Take it to Midway or Power Chevrolet Arrowhead. I'm sure they've seen an LT-4 before.Anyone else know of a decent shop/mechanic in the North Valley? Guest Steve Mulvey
Airpark Autotek at the airport... 480 483 7535 they do a lot of special cars like 300 SL's from the 50's, old T-birds, Roush engined Cobras etc.. Not cheap, but good work. Failing that , The Vette Shop at University and Mclintock in Tempe has my car right now, but I don't think he does late models.. Guest racingchester
Service First. John knows Vettes. He has worked on my cars and is not one to lie to you. He tells it like it is. Your car won't come back like a grease bucket. He is just north of Home Depot on Cave Creek and Cactus. Phone 602-788-7833.

If you need to motor a couple miles for honest service and a fair deal then so be it.

If you like we can teach you how to change the oil and check the plugs, even simple bolt ons aren't hard. If you need performance mods then go with one of the recomended shops above. The best part about a shop being "far" is the drive home with new mods.

Involved but "modular" stuff they can do.Stuff that requires Finesse (electrical T shooting, cam swap, Turbo/SC install, Tuning) id shy away from them and trust AZPS.2 cts. But they were telling me Anthem knows their way around LSx motors and it appears they do, at least in GTO's (Andrew): Here's the Linkski, this GTO of theirs won at SEMA this year and is available in up to 750hp packages.... Doesn't make them a good 'vette shop....but if you're in the area, stop in there, it is NICE. Dyno, laser-alignment, custom fabrication, blah, blah, blah.... Guest AZ Power & Sound
Actually Anthem has up to 1000BHP packages... call Dan and and ask them about them, and Dan should also give us a pretty good reference ;)
