2002 Z06

Recommended Posts

For sale is my 2002 Corvette Z06 with 57000 miles. I am the third owner and have had the car since 2010 and put just under 30000 miles in that time, averaging a 3800 miles per year of it's lifetime. This car has been adult driven and loved. Always garage kept and no accidents. The paint is clear and smooth. It turns heads wherever I go. I have always taken care of this car and I have made every reasonable attempt to make it better than new. It is a turn-key driver that should provide years of driving enjoyment. There is no car available that can provide this level of acceleration, braking, and cornering that an upgraded C5 Z06 for the price. I like to call it my go-kart with A/C, cruise control, and a radio. Clean title, in hand. I'm only selling because it's time to move on and let someone else enjoy this gem.

Price: $24,499

Here are the upgrades to this car:
Exterior:
Tinted corner lights

Tinted side marker lights

Tinted tail lights

High intensity LED brake light bulbs

Custom 55w HID headlights and halogen high beams

New windshield in 2016

New TSW Interlagos wheels 18" in front, 19" in the rear

Hankook Ventus V12 tires with less than 1000 miles on them. They look new

For the asking price of $24,499, I will include a full set of ALCOA GM Speedline 17"/18" rims with Nitto NT05 tires on them. They are worn, but have about 1000 miles left on them.

Engine, Drive-line and Exhaust:

Factory LS6 with CPR cam installed by Cordes Performance Racing in Tempe and tuned by NicD installed in 2015 at 50000 miles.

Dyno'd at 410 rwhp in 103 degree temps

1-7/8" primary ceramic coated headers

Calloway Honker true cold air intake

The engine coolant runs at 199 degrees in Fall, Winter, and Spring. In Summer, the coolant runs about 201-205 in traffic with the A/C on full blast.

Oil change with Pennzoil Platinum in May, 2017

Clutch is working perfectly with no chatter or noise

Factory T56 Transmission was serviced and changed oil in June 2017

Brand new OEM GM replacement Getrag Z06 3.42 ratio differential installed and fully broken in with 800 miles on it

Factory titanium exhaust mufflers with the "bypass mod" welded in. These mufflers have no drone during driving, are mellow sounding at idle and absolutely scream during wide open throttle. The best of both worlds, and lighter than almost any other exhaust out there.

Battery replaced in 2016 and kept on Battery Minder when not driven

Brakes and Suspension:
ATE slotted rotors

Hawk HPS brake pads

Stainless steel braided brake lines

C6Z06 front and rear sway bars for better cornering

Bilstein Doug Rippie Motorsports tuned shock absorbers. These shocks and sway bars completely transformed the handling of this car. It is completely predictable and much more stable over mid-corner bumps.

Interior:
C6Z06 shifter cut down for a short throw and threaded for a C5 knob

Heads up display

Rare Mod Red interior option

No rips or tears

Custom center arm rest with actual soft padding ad custom stitched Z06 logo

Custom shifter boot, and e-brake boot

Lloyds floor mats

Custom Z06 cabin partition

Sony CD/Radio with Bluetooth and USB

Common C5 Corvette problems that have already been fixed:

Dim A/C display has been fixed

Ignition cylinder replaced 2017

Broken/rocking driver's seat fixed 2017

New starter replaced with stronger Bosch unit 2017

Good luck with the sale, Ted.  You won't have any problem passing your baby to a new family.  Do you plan on getting another toy?  If so, whatcha looking toward?

No plans at the moment other than a family truckster. We will see what happened in the future.

GLWS Ted, I'd get a Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT as you'll have the best of both worlds, hauling capacity, comfort and power.  I have a 2014 SRT and I love it.

  • 2 weeks later...

Car is sold to a nice guy from Mesa who has a whole collection of cars. I'm pretty sure he'll take good car of it. He is not a part of ACE.
