Eddie44
I found this when cleaning out my 88 yr old Mom's garage. I have no idea what it is. It appears to be professionally manufactured not home made. Any guess?

Desertdawg
It's a 6 pack beer chiller. Open first beer to drink, insert other 5 beers into flow-thru super chiller, dunk into bucket of ice water, hands stay dry so current open beer doesn't slip out of grip... what do I win ???

HOXXOH
Can you provide some dimensions? It's hard to imagine the size without any reference. It appears to be plated. Maybe bright nickel? Are the connections soldered or welded? Check it with a magnet to see if it's ferrous. So far Joyce hasn't a clue. So much for the TN farm girl. HOXXOH
Baby bottles in the '40's thru '60's were usually pyrex glass and only about 2" in diameter and 6" long, so try fitting some objects of that diameter inside. You could refer to one of Dawg's guesses to find something of a suitable size.
