Rattle

When my car is at idol, there is a weird rattle coming out from the bottom maybe middle of the car. Does anyone know what this is?

I once had bold missing from the exhaust header heat shield that rattled like crazy. See I f you can't track it down by getting it in the air and listen.

Turn up the radio and the rattle magically goes away.

Eddie,

I had something similar, it was the exhaust hanger making the noise.

I sprayed the hanger springs with spray lube and the noise went away.

This is a C6 exhaust hanger.

ive seen exhaust hanger springs cause the rattle, in much less common instances ive seen cat converters honeycomb detatch from the casing causing a real nasty sound (like torque tube coming apart) most common on aftermarket cats though. ive seen a muffler make a buzzing sound on a z06 once too. youll probably have to squeeze under it and start pushing on components or listen with a long screwdriver to isolate the cause
