Anyone Change A Heater Core On A C5?

Recommended Posts

i'm already guessing it's a job i need to pay someone for - as i hate working under the dash in ANYTHING and can imagine this car is 100 times worse than under the dash of my old 84 nissan truck.

who's got the experience?

if you are from a shop and want to solicit my business - i want to know how many C5 heater cores you have personally changed at your shop - then you can hollar at me with a price.

well i got my first quote on this via phone - and i'm told the A/C must be evac'd and recharged - does that sound right to anyone else (not that i'm questioning the shops info, but i am a bit curious.

Never heard of having to do that, but it is a corvette and they always seemed to manage to put a few weird things into them...cross fire ignition, 4+3 tranny, optispark dist. under the water pump, computer under the battery, so nothing would suprise me at this point. :banghead Good luck, Robert :burnout
