Out with old in with the new

new vette 62

Recommended Posts

Got a little more done. Got the rims to give them a try. They fit but I still haven't done the tires. I just need to put in the passenger seat and the interior is done. I need to paint the mounting brackets for the bumpers and install them and that should be it. I will post up pictures of it done in the next few days.

I am going to look at the next project and if it has no rust issues it's mine. This one will be fun. SRIII frame with C5 or C6 suspension. Connect and cruise LS motor with auto. I am going to sell it when I am done just to see if I can make money at it.

Might be my age talking, but I would have gone with Cragar SS for wheels. My first Vette was a 61 black w/red interior on Cragar SS. Car looks bitching you did a great job on it. Congratulations

The interior is done. It sure is red. I am still waiting on the antenna ordered it in August. They are telling me January. I am putting on the bumpers and then will send it to be aligned and the AC filled. Then some shake down cruises. I feel sorry for the rear tires. I looked at another project and it had some rust issues in the bird cage. I will post up the rest of the pictures once I have the bumpers on and the new rims and tires.

Thanks for looking and if anybody knows where a C1 or C2 is for sale somewhere up to 35k, please let me know.

Those are the old floor mats in the car I don't want to put the new ones in yet, red gets dirty way too easy.

Great looking car. And that motor is something to drool over for sure. Saw it at Corvettes & Caffeine this morning. Doing a great job with it.
