ChadC
not in person but Ive seen pictuers of demos before. From what I remember; The unit does not need air pressure (no more flux in Psi) Ergo tred wear, and MPG are increased.Only the outer "rubber" is replaced when the tred is worn out. The inner wheel is reused. The tire and rim are all one part. No more 22" for the homies. I dont know the Lbs. but I know the mo fo is light. chad

Dvl4evr
There are a few things wrong with this concept for normal road use. 1. I've heard that they are NOISY as hell2. You are going to feel every crack, bump, pebble, washer in your kidneysBut if all you do is track your car, then might be something to tryJim

anmracing2
Michelin calls it the Tweel.....We heard about it from Michelin sometime in early 2006 where I work. I have not seen any info or data sheets on it though.... It is a retreadable tire so that should make the retreader industry pretty happy.http://www.michelinman.com/difference/rele...e01102005a.htmlAndrew
Togo
Mark, I think that you should get a set and try them out. Chad if someone wanted to donate a set to me, i'd put them on my truck! :D on a side note, i read this in the "article" Additionally, Segway LLC's Concept Centaur, a prototype that applies self-balancing technology to a four-wheel device, has also been equipped with Tweel to increase its performance potential. how can a four-wheel device be NOT self balancing?
