Phoenix FRC Posted August 2, 2006 Share Posted August 2, 2006 Hi gang,I just thought i'd let you know about this one.I just spoke with my mother, she works in new car sales at Chapman Chevrolet in Tempe.She said they made an announcement this morning that a Black Zo6 is being built this week and is scheduled to be delivered in three weeks and the buyer just backed out of the deal.From what I understand its Black with Nav and 6 disk changer.Because it was ordered from Chapmen it will still be delivered to Chapman and its for sale.If ou are interested please call Linda Fostich, (My Mother) She will give you every detail available.Her number is 480-203-4309. Tell her her Son Thomas informed you about the car.Just in case you didn't know this... Chapmen doesn't charge a premiemum on Corvettes like everyone else does and she just told me that they expect that with this car they might but she doesn't know what it will be. We both believe you can negotiate that if you get in there and buy it asap.If you want a Z06 and are willing to place the order and wait, she can sell you one with no premeimum... she can do that and she will.The wait for a Z06 is out to 2008 now but what happens alot is someone will cancel their order and the order will become an option for anyone on a wait list and I guess it happens alot.Anyway.. Guest Kens06 Posted August 2, 2006 Share Posted August 2, 2006 Thanks for the INFO!!Too bad my 'finance a new Z with retirement funds' idea turned to crap!!There are new/near new cars out there for reasonable $$!!FWIW, The MSRP for 2007 Z orders that hadn't been accepted by Chevrolet by July 25th, went up over $3500!!Same car, and they are all sold, so some management bean counter says "If I can get these nutballs to pay another $3500 will my retirement package reflect this idea??I want one SO bad, but I'm not going to live in it to afford it!! :D Ken Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I was even looking for a black Vette too. By far I have been a member of team black.. well... since I sold my Yellow 71 Torino .My wife was even asking me if I was alright when she saw the blue car.. Actually, if you look at the car in front of the Vette in my Sig pic... That's a member of team black, and its faster then my FRC, go figure huh??
