Norse Pagan
Over the weekend I installed the insulation kit from Exotic Vette. Things went pretty smoothly all in all. I broke the airbag connecter under the seat that I didn't see was attached. And I pulled the staples out of the shift boot. Both other than that there we no problems. I don't know how well it worked yet but I should get a good idea this afternoon when it's hotter outside. I know that it did cut down on the noise when I have my baffles closed (I have the B&B Fusion). With them open it was just as loud as before . Here's some pics. Guest badbobs95
Al lot of work but I believe you will find it worth while next summer. I'm going to do the same thing to Whitey soon. I'm sick of my right leg feeling like it is leaning on a heater all summer. Please let me know if it cuts down on the sound level too. I would like to remove the blanket I use now to cut the droan but it does actually work. Good job!

I ordered it back in july but it was way too damn hot to instal it then lol. If you've got a loud exhaust it won't cut it down much at all. With my baffles open I didn't notice any change at all. However with them closed it did cut down on the exhaust a little and made the road noise much quieter. I still have the runflats on there till they get low enough to put on some PS2s so they are pretty loud.

Big Poppa
Ya that kit doesn't dampen sound, it only rejects heat. For sound you gotta install a dynamat type product to the panels under the heat insulation.
Guest AZviperMike
Excellent work next time wear a go pro cam on your head and show us how to do it! Great idea as the heat can be tough on the tunnel!

I originally considered doing dynamat, but a) I heard it was a pain in the ass and b) I heard it adds about 50 lbs to your car. The kit I did only adds around 5 lbs. It took me around 15 hrs to finish, but I've never taken anything apart on the inside of a car before so I was being super careful and slow. and I cleaned every piece before I put it back in cause I'm anal like that lol.
