Got JB weld?

Finally ripped into the LS3 to check the damage.

A little bent, but with a hammer to straighten and some JB weld it'll be OK.

This'll either require a wet sleeve or a conversion to a V6.

All the king's men can't put these pistons together again.

I vote for converting it to v6. Better gas mileage that way. You can use the 2 extra cylinders for added storage space for those long trips.

Ouch!

Had there lots of passes under its belt, or was this out of the blue?

About 250 1/4 mile passes at the track. A few more ... umm..test runs in other places. 71K total miles in 45 states. So yeah, I've had some fun.

I look at the replacement cost as less than $.07 per mile. :smilelol
