Togo
just sent mike a PM for him to remove the D1 and put it back to N/A - and gonna use the nitrous instead!i should have made this decision 3 months ago - and saved myself like $3000! if it still shreds belts once the S/C is off - you can bet i'll have a "fire sale" on all parts of that car as once the good stuff is off, i'm gonna light it on fire! :mad
Guest Kens06
Damn Chris,I told you the guy to talk to about the pro charger! He has spent a bazillion $$ at MTI trying to keep his running!!Your car will be smokin' NA!! Guest AZ Power & Sound
its just making too much torque... the car is VERY VERY fast, however with the amount of torque the stroker already makes, as soon as it hits boost the tires ignite in just about every gear even with the 345s out back! My theory is its binding the belt up and as soon as you let off its just tossing it... too bad no one makes a solid tensioner setup for the blower setups yet like Katech makes for N/A cars! How would the tensioner be different? it would take some fab work and a location for it... with the solid tensioner it would not allow the belt to bind up when the engine torques. Its very difficult to explain on here but basically the engine makes so much power so quickly, that when it blows the tires off the crank is actualy compressing the idler pulley all the way because of how hard it is pulling on the belt... then when you let off its slingshotting the idler back to its normal position and in that process it gives the belt enough slack to jump off

Togo
Togo, what did you put donw on the motor alone? never ran it motor alone - i bought it with the supercharger.some speculation is 500-550 on the motor - so i'd be happy with that!
