FNBADAZ06
Well, Mr. FNBADAZ06's Z is all apart getting ready for a new shiny coat of color Maybe I should leave some of these extra parts off the car for a distinctive look Found out today that the insurance company is replacing the rear glass as well. Ted Y
That weight reduction should be good for a few tenths at the track. I say leave it like that!

GR8WHITE
Didf someone key the hell out of your car? Why would a new C6 need a paint job otherwise? Hmmm. Are you getting a wide body conversion? Take it out for a spin as is, get some video, and pot up on YouTube for some laughs..... Not a bad idea Ted....as long as I hang at least one tail light and one head light, it should be street legal, eh ?! Could you give me a Police escort to Speedworld Saturday night ? "Quickest Go Kart seen on I-10" After reading the "2 Vettes in Walmart parking lot" thread, I'm with you in that it would be a lethal mistake for anyone to even get close to my car. I was stuck in the sand storm on I-10 Thanksgiving weekend and the paint and glass got pitted pretty good. My insurance company is covering the repairs under my comprehensive coverage, and the adjuster decided to repaint the entire car instead of any "blending", with the shop manager Brian pressing for a total reapint as well. I wasn't expecting the rear hatch glass replacement, but I guess USAA decided to take care of that as well....they are the best insurance company on the planet when it comes to customer satisfaction. I might be making a few minor appearance changes, but the color is still going to be victory red.

Figured if you and Shannon can out drive me, I needed a tatical advantage somewhere I should be able to fit some mega monster Hoosier R6's on the car now....plus with my weight reduction plan, my brakes should last longer Of course, this could also be nothing more than a case of an extreme detail job gone completely over the top
Buccaneer
NICE! I guess I'll have to watch the radar for the next storm and make sure I'm in it, baby needs a new paint job already...Robert started it.
FNBADAZ06
It was amazing how far the sand penetrated into the nooks and crannies between the body panels. When they pulled the fenders and quarters, the dirt and sand dumped onto their shop floor !!!! I guess I'll have to watch the radar for the next storm and make sure I'm in it, baby needs a new paint job already...Robert started it. Make sure it's a sand storm....a hail storm won't do enough damage. It would be a good idea to make sure you have a solid insurance company with great comprehinsive coverage. Probably helped that I have never had an automobile insurance claim in my life !!!! I think you'll also need to wait for the summer months...the one that hit Thanksgiving weekend was totally out of the blue...just make sure your not in the multi car pileup section of the storm

Yeah, that part sucks. That's why I'm not involved in any of the events for a month or so.....need to wrap the car in a clear bra after this experience :D At least they gave me a 2010 vert Mustang to drive instead of a POS. Back in the late 90's here at Luke, we had a HUGE sand storm. It looked like the "NOTHING" from the Never Ending Story rolling in. We were pulling gun system after gun system in F-16's to have them "rebuilt" because the sand got everywhere. Some jets had 4+ inches of sand sitting in the gun bays (depending which direction the aircraft was parked in). Not to mention motors and all the other nooks and crannies of the jet. May I ask, how many and what kind of vehicles do you have on your covereage and what is your 6 month premium? I am 41, dual car discount (2000 Corvette / 2001 GMC Yukon) clean license. And I am a bit puzzled at their rates, I just wanted to see if ours may be close to or similiar.... Last time the rates increased (due to their list of BS excuses for AZ) I raised my deductible to $1000 so my payments would drop approximately $22.00 per month. (It lowered $22.00 per month) My next reneweal, sure as shit, USAA gave me the same f&^%ing speech of how AZ rates increased etc, and raised my premium again which raised my payments another $10 per month, nearly half of what I got lowered due to raising my deductible. Honestly - I think it is all a scam. And Since I been a customer for well over 10 years and my rates have been sustanined for those 10 years - I don't see how USAA gives breaks, discounts, good driver deals, etc. I was paying $85.00 per month SOLID for 10 years, and then all of a sudden, two increases in 6 months time? Come on..... SO, if possible, can you send me a PM with some stats? Your age, How many cars on same policy, Year and makes, driving record (any tickets) etc, Married, single.... I just curious to see if this is some sort of BS scam USAA has going on. Comprehensive is not collission, I know - But its the monthly payments that add up over time.... Thanks

Your rates are impacted significantly by the address/ZIP code your residence resides in. I'm sure Eddie can chime in, that vehicle theft statistics are used as a major source of the rate determination, and Southern Arizona and all cities/towns in close proximity to the border (including Tucson) have been tagged with unflattering historical data regarding theft, uninsured motorist, etc. Arizona has one of the higher insurance premiums in the Country due to the theft statistics (what I've been told). I think Phoenix was (at one time) rated number one for auto thefts in the Country !!!!

Their campus is just down the road from me....very nice. My brother works for them as a property claims adjuster which includes natural disasters across the country.
