Two things....

1st, admiring Mark for his upcoming retirement.

2nd, getting over the sticker shock of a new back tire for the Z06 ( $748.41 installed).  Apparently somebody left their box cutter in the roadway and my back tire found it.🤬

OOF!  I feel your pain!  A few years ago I had that happen to the back tire on my 2013 Collector and that tire (335/20) was right around $750.  UGH.

Day #2 of a 6k mile motorcycle trip to Virginia and back.  Yesterday was cold and extremely windy across Arizona and part of New Mexico, sustained winds in the 20's with gusts to 45. Today was much better, by the afternoon it was sunny and quite pleasant, in Amarillo now.   Tomorrow another ~400 miles into Oklahoma to connect with our Oklahoma chapter, ACE members P51TJ.  :ACE:20220505_151856.thumb.jpg.55818856bfa24947111ee09899cd28d4.jpg

Forgot to mention, if you're anywhere close to Pawhuska (NNW of Tulsa) take a minute to visit The Mercantile and sample The Pioneer Woman's prune pie. Sounds weird, but tastes amazing.

Stay safe and enjoy the ride.

Hi Timmy. Looks like a beautiful place. I really need to get one of those tornady shelters. I'm without so far. I'm looking at the ones that get buried though. Did they bolt that thing to the floor?

Just got home from our 1st, and not last, car show type gathering here in Clarksville. Met some very nice car people too.

It's very hard to give this plate up. Haven't been able to make myself do it yet. It just seems wrong to take it off.

Just had a great visit with Donna. She has a pretty cool bike and all the gear to make for an enjoyable trip. Safe travels to you and we'll meet again I'm sure when we visit back in Arizona.

In Virginia now.  Did some backroad exploration yesterday, and Skyline Drive in Shenandoah National Park today.  Yesterday was sunny, today is cloudy and damp.  I got rained on while riding in the park...wasn't able to take any pictures inside the park, because the clouds had everything covered...
