We just want a place with 4 seasons again, some nice country back road (Tail of the Dragon) to cruise the Vette on and to buy a nice big ass house and some property for under $175K. Only problem is all the new houses are being built like they are here in the valley, one right on top of the next. The older ones, and sometimes only 2 -3 years old, actually have some property around them. I can go online, do a search for homes with at least 1400 sq feet (we are looking around 1600 - 2000), 2 car garage (or more) and under $175,000 -- 105 listings come up. Just in one zip code.Here is an example of what we are looking at. -- $134,900, 3 Bed, 2 Bath, 1,670 Sq. Ft. 2 car garage, fireplaces. 3 bed / 2 bath / -- 1/2 acre land - $138,900.And my favorite, 3 bed, 2 bath, 2200 sq feet, 2 story, with an above ground pool, fenced lot. $158,500.There is NO WAY you can get that much property for the price here in Arizona anymore. I hope to sell our place, pay for the move, pay off all our debt and still put 30K or more down and also pick up all new furniture as well. And Dan -- you're right. That Gila Bend BBQ cruise commute is going to suck!! That will most likely be my last cruise with ACE as well. My parents are coming into town on the 21st of Feb. (my birthday) and we are going to do a few days in Vegas then a few days at the NHRA races in PHX. After that they head back to TN and we will then put the house on the market.
