OK...lets make Dawg happy and keep playing the game! Is it the liner material under the hood? Or a microscopic view of a serpentine belt? How about belly button lint that got sucked into the air filter? :chris

I just talked to my source and he said the picture IS a picture of an alternator end cap!

So Tim got it correct! Below is the original photo.

Sorry for the mess up, I will doublely make sure of the item in the future!

BTW, any one of you could step up and give this a try!

Heres how I got confused, I thought it was the smog pump pulley, since this is what a regular LSx motor looks like!

I forgot about the oddball endcap they used on the alternator....

Is this because it is one of the decoupler pulley designs used to filter vibrations on automatic equipped cars at low RPM?

Good Job Michael. I was looking at your personal profile and I have to ask....what is Snow Meth Injection?

Snow is a brand name, like Nike.

I use their methanol injection system to allow me to run over 7 psi of boost on an 11:1 compression engine with turbochargers making over 700 RWHP.

Here is their website, just incase you're interested: http://www.snowperformance.net/categories.php?p_cat=1

Yep you got it right, I'm still trying to find the option in the administrator options to add your 8 hours back...

If I can find that option I'm going to add about 2000 hours to my account, that should get me through May!!!
