Doesn't just happen to Vettes

I was on my way back from Desert Ridge where I do my Sunday morning walk. The first thing that caught my eye was a whole line of older Porsches (356, 912, 911). They were headed north on the 51 just before it merges with the 101. I was headed south. There were about 15 and as I got even with the last of them I saw the DPS Officer with lights on. :rolf:rolf

edit: The myth about cops only stopping Vettes is :bs

Hey Eddie-

what doesn't just happen to vettes? The part about being harrassed by the man? Or going for a cruise in a gang? Or...? And, did you get pulled over-being the obvious target in your mazda?

I've had pretty good luck in my Vette.I was crusin home on the 17 about 12:30 am doing 85 and a DPS car crept up on me.He pulled along side, and I slowed down.He just kept going.Another time at the Durango curve I was tired of being stuck behind a bunch of big truck.I spead up and sliped though a gap.Next thing I know theres a white car getting bigger in the rear view mirror. He got next to me and was shaking his finger at me,and growling something.I kind waved as to say "OK" and he went on his way.About an hour latter when I got to the Cardnals game. There he was working sucurity at the gate. :D

On my trip back from Yuma on Monday I ran accross an officer of the law. I was doing my typical 80-82 MPH on the way back, cruise set and just driving back home. I see a car coming up behind me so I move over (in the left lane as the pavement was better) and it was a DPS officer. He must have had his cruise set to 90. He just waved as he went by.

I set the cruise in my work truck out here at 85 all day long. But then most of them know me by now anyway! :D

The funniest thing is that the boss is pissed that I know the truck is governed at 97.
