Waterproof paper on doors.

Typical waterproof paper to keep moisture off the interior (normally cardboard) door panels seems somewhat redundant for an '82 which has plastic door panels.

I can't seem to find any restoration houses that sell the waterproof liners for the doors, so I am starting to wonder if the cars came from the factory without it.

Presently the car has what appears to be home-brew heavy clear plastic liners held on with a thick sticky white material.

Mine had some clear plastic as well on my 1980. I pulled it off and tossed it 5 years ago. Just make sure the drain holes in the bottom of the door are clear and make sure the weatherstrip at the windows is good and you should have no problems at all.

Yep! Clear plastic cut to fit... thats factory.

Mine is gone too, had to get in the door to many times to adjust the windows, and it just wouldn't stick anymore...
