Wessst Siiide!

For BBQ, we hit Dillon's on T-bird: Dillon's

Burgers...the 5 & Diner at Bell and 75th-ish.

For good authentic Italian, we drive across town to Avanti, pricey ...but the gnocchi is the best ever. Avanti

Still looking for a steakhouse on this side that knocks our socks off...

There's another Honey Bears BBQ at 7670 South Priest Drive, Tempe. Went there a couple weeks ago for lunch.

Check out Skye for great steaks and seafood. It is located near Bell and the 101, south side of Bell.

Um...yeah. We tried them. :huh

For an old fashion midwest steakhouse I'd suggest Durant's on Central and Virginia (not positive on the cross street).

Today's Phoenix was planned and built in Durant's.

Remember I said "today's Phoenix". I would define that as since about 1970. Remember I've been here in Phx since 1958.

I guess what I'm saying is I was here (Phx) but not there (Durant's). Does that make sense??? :confused

Phill's Vette

The Chevron station at Dobson & Ray in Chandler has the best 75% Meat burgers, corn dogs and hot dogs in that part of town. For Phoenix I would recommend ALSO the Chevron at 32nd Street & Thomas for some of the best half day old hot dogs you can find in that part of town.

If you come to either Chevron when I am there, you'll receive a FREE dog and fountain drin, but you have to be in a vette. :yesnod

FREE is a good deal, right?!

This isn't a lowly attempt to advertise the far superior gas that Chevron sells - WAY better than ARCO, Circle K and others.... I just want to see some vettes!

Los Dos Molinos - there's 3 in town, I've only ever been to the one just south of Baseline on Central. Bar none the best Mexican food I've ever had. Just remember when they saw "spicy" they mean it! :rockon2:

Oh man, you are so missing out.

While I admit that Los Dos Molinos is the best I've had in town, it has nothing on REAL New Mexican places.

I seriously miss Albuquerque, good mexican is everywhere to be found.

These days I just make it at home.

Ever try the Albuquerque Tortilla Co at 13th Ave and Hatcher.

Great lunch place but not what I'd really consider for dinner. They make their own tortilla's.

Marana Rich

In Yuma, I like famous Dave's for ribs.

Little place called Ronnie's on Avenue A makes the best Philly Cheesesteak this side of Philadelphia along with great italian food. (I lived in Philly for 4 years, and tasted the best, and have eaten them all over the world, this one wins).

Mexican food, hmmm, any local family owned one gets my vote.

Lute's Casino on Main Street makes a unique hotdog hamburger, with some great fries.....and a unique atmosphere.
