dewey
There used to be a cajun place down in the Biltmore area, I could drive right to it, but can't remember exactly where it is...had "Aunt' in the name of it, awesome...good stuff. As far as down here, Mr. K's is the place for BBQ. Park and Silverlake. Just be sure if you head down there, do it in the daytime.Oregano's on Speedway has really good food. Service is somewhat questionable, but the food is delicious.Don't know of any cajun places in the Old Pueblo.

Just remember they're closed on Mondays. You want sandwiches, try East Coast Subs. The owner, Kieth, grew up in Jersey, and his dad owned 3 sub shops there. The subs are the bomb... His main shop is at Park and 8th. Give him a shop, you'll love it.

Devryn
I forgot one of the best in the Valley!Haus Murphey's! (Old Town Glendale, Glendale Ave & Grand)Oh, and Patti Grimaldi's (spelling?), They have coal brick oven fired pizza and outstanding service. This is the first place I've ever been where I was told my food was unacceptable. LOL We went there and ordered a small pizza (which is HUGE incidentally). It came out, we ate like 3 or 4 pieces together (half the pizza). The manager came out just doing meet and greets. She came over to our table, asked how everything was. Around full mouths we answered "Excellent" in a slightly muffled tone. She looked at the pizza and said "Your pizza is O.K?" "Yeah, it's amazing. Best ever." "Looks a little soggy in the middle to me.""No really, it's very very good.""Still, our cook is kind of new and I think he could do better. We'll send another one right out.""No really, that's O.K. we're good! It's really great!""We'll have that right out for you."LOL "O.K."Edit: Another one: Ra's. Amazing Sushi. I really think it's the best Sushi in town, but it's PRICEY and LOUD in there.

It used to be a little hole in the wall at the Colonnade but moved downtown. It became so trendy that they stopped serving lunch, where one could wait for over an hour(I wouldn't). They usually have a long wait for dinner as well. Frankly, I just can't see waiting in line for food. With so many good restaraunts out there, it never made sense to me. Shifty
First of all, a question for our Phoenician friends....Is Angie's & Jimmy's Pizza still around up there? It was on Thomas and 27th a long time ago....Was teh best pizza I ever had, and inexpensive to boot!Second: Is Carlos O'Briens on Bethany any good any more? It's been a long time, but it was one of my favorites...In Tucson, good chow is from Olde Chicago on Campbell....

Eddie44
For Pizza we love Spinato's. Three locations, 16th St. and Bell Rd, Frank Lloyd Wright and Shea and just north of Extreme in Tempe. They make their own sauce and it has kind of a sweet taste.
