Guest mhp316
Would someone care to share their experiences (performance, purchase, and installation) with an automatic transmission shift kit for a C5 vette. Long ago I installed a B&M shift kit in a Pontiac 400 automatic transmission and loved the overall effect. What are my options for the Corvette? Can you recommend an online retail source or local Phoenix retail shop? Thanks.
Eddie44
I've never had it done on either my C5 or C6 but the easiest and quickest improvement is to adjust shift points, etc via the computer. I would talk to Jason at Extreme and he can give you cost of that and/or a new torque converter. Those are the two most popular improvements for the A4 transmission assuming yours is in good condition to begin with.
Bigfoot
NicD adjusted shift points, firmed up shifting, and adjusted torque management on mine. BIG difference! You can PM him here through the forum and he'll give you a price. That and the 17rwhp he gave me took .5 seconds off my quarter mile times.
