Parsa Posted February 10, 2008 Share Posted February 10, 2008 So far ive got a pretty stock C5 03 automatic vetteI got new borla cat-back exhausts and a blackwing air intakewhat kind of headers should i get?and does anyone have any advice on what else i need to give the engine and tranny more strength? ICULUKN Posted February 10, 2008 Share Posted February 10, 2008 There is no way to give the motor more 'strength' unless you replace the pistons. The cast pistons are the weak point on the 3rd GEN ls series motors. Your headers will depend on how deep your pockets are and what you are trying to achieve with the motor. I had TPIS headers, and they worked well. Cost was pretty cheap when I got them around 800 bucks or so. LG makes an awesome header, so does stainless works and kooks.
