Ohhhh, this is getting good! :lurk

Hey kids,

They make a beautiful C6 version also!! :thumbs

And yes, they offer both choices as well!!

MCM hood

as a quick side note, the hoods really stand out!! I was at Elliot and Val Vista a few minutes ago and a black coupe with that hood was going east on Elliot??

I didn't catch the plate but if it wasn't Phil it had to be Kevin's old ride??

Just an observation!!

Damn!! I really like that look and I know Robert does too. I think this may be yet another mod for Vanessa!

Them yeller flames on a yeller car ..well..

..they look like ya hit a bottle of molasses at a buck-twenty, yanno?

They just don't look 'hot' ..it's not my car tho :)

The dark contrast center adds to the dark contrast from windows an tires.. black an yellow rocks :)

Bee colors :)

Ghosted or burnished flames look nice .. a gold pearl ghost would look great. Very subtle.

Lightly dusted red pearl tips of the flames .. oooo-yaaa :)

We like 'bulges' :)

I left my home this morning in the Vette around 8:00 AM but I went south on Lindsey to Pecos then to Gilbert to the 202.

So maybe it was Kevin's old Vette.

Dawg,

Can ya change the black to yeller and leave the C/F in the middle?

Gotta be honest Tim, The all yeller looks real good but if Dawg can change the pic to yeller I may be swayed.

That's Leslie's hood, she was the one driving my car at Firebird, Mark!!

I have a shot of that without the copyright tag I can't find!!

Any other car pics look familiar on that page Mark??

Tim, you already have the tinted top and hatch window to compliment the middle and back of the YELLER beauty!!

That dark hump for the hood would be the front accent and look super!!

I'm telling you Bro, I'm a feisty lobby for the insert!!

Ken

I know my own car when I see it :smilelol

the CF is nice but the outside of the car NEEDS something else to make the CF fit.

otherwise you are just like one of these

Unless there is something else, my vote is ALL YELLER'

i'm a little biased DSCF1744.jpg

OK.

Just lifting the flames from your fuel rail covers, I tried to merge it in and adjust the color so that it looked like and exterior shot. I'm sure your painter could do a way better job, but then he isn't using copy and paste.....

It would be a dramatic change for sunny, but I like it.

Hell you might even have to start calling her flame since evil C5 is already taken...:lol

I like it in the first shot a lot...when it is a very big piece of the picture.

It does not look as good in the second shot where it is now just a small piece of the whole picture.

Does that make sense?

When it's the prominent piece of the center it looks awesome, but once I see the "whole" picture it seems to lack something for me. Just a thought.

I dig it. :banannarainbow: You've got the black base to contrast the yeller and the flames for eye candy and to match the underhood theme. Siiick. Two words: SHOW WINNER.

Ouch. Almost pulled a muscle patting myself on the back.... :smilelol

OK Tim,

I'm confused, but I'm like that normally!!

CF bulge option or plain CF hood??

If you get the bulge option you don't want to cover it up with flames!!

The engine side of all these hoods have the fibers set at a specific depth in the resin so they show!!

Everyone clearcoats them for effect!!

A regular MCM hood is black on top, you see no fibers.

The option hood has the last layer on the bulge set to show the fibers!!

Does that make any sense??

All makes sense Ken, I kept it a little muddy for fun. Buldge is set for paint, and maybe flames....not clear. I know that's not the way you wanted it to go, but after deep thoughts, I went with non clear buldge, even after Johnnie gave me a "blank check"...what a gal. :cone The underside will be cleared and frame "skeleton" painted YELLER!!!

That will be sweet!!

Can't wait to see it ...........

I've seen ghost flames on darker colors that look great!

I have never seen flames on an MCM hood that show the heat extraction concept like that!!!!

You da man Tim!! :jias:
