How about a west side gathering once the east siders make it this way?

Last trip to SpeedWorld we gathered at the QT on Grand Ave East of the 303.

How many we have going anyway????

I'm just hoping some of the stuff I've done here recently actually picks my times up. :xfinger

If not, I'm getting close to having the money for my headers, high-flow cats, x-pipe, and tune. Sure hope internet poker doesn't go away before then.

Good times today!!! I made about 10 runs I think, but I really need to look into that new lean code I'm getting.

Most of the big HP guys out there today were having a great deal of difficulty hooking up to the track, so kinda glad I'm not running too much. :lol

Yea pretty good Sean. My best with my C5 was 13.46 I think. Good job. Glad you feel better about it.

Was a blast to 'do' some racin after so long away from the track.

Last time I was at Mel Larson's (now called Speedworld) ..my brother-in-law ran a 10.20 in his small block 55 chebby ..then missed a gear on next pass, blowin the lil 283 he was runnin to bits. I ended up towin him home with my '69 Road Runner ..which he called a 'truck' on the way out to the track .. LOL .. but 'the Truck' got him home!

I completely spaced the first launch .. don't think the gas pedal went down till the green lite was starin at me :)

Got told I hadda get a helmet if I was gonna run again (faster than 14.0 it's required) .. Phil stepped in an let me use his skid lid for a coupla more passes .. man I really need to get back into practice ..it has been a *long* time! (October, 1991, LACR was my last pass in my 440 Duster)

Personal note:

need stickier tires, spinnin 'em about 30 ft out, and a bit more in 2nd.

need some more tree time :) (60 foot times at 2+ seconds and reaction off the line at .220's)

need gears.. goin thru traps in 3rd at 5k rpm or so :)

Best E.T = 13.87 @102mph (with traction control on, just plain ol' punchin it off the line)

Went 13.98 with traction control off, on the converter a lil at launch.

Turned 13.88 with competitive mode on, on the converter a lil on launch.

Motor sounded good .. 91 octane chevron and it pinged very slightly in 3rd on 1st pass.. was fine on the rest ..mebbe blew some carbon deposits off :)

I got my baseline numbers .. eventual goal is mid 10's (will be awhile gettin there!)
