spacer between engine an transmission? where do I find and how important is it ?

What year? I would talk to Joe Cordes at CPR as he is the local corvette guru and he may be able to answer your question.

What year Vette are you asking about?

And there in no "spacer' between the engine block and the transmission. Only the Bell Housing.

Unless you're running a scatter shield then you'll have a "block saver" plate that goes between the scattershield and block.

That'll be the case on any C1-C4 Corvette. C5 thru the C7 you'll have the front bell housing(clutch/flywheel cover),Torque tube, then rear bell housing between the engine and trans.
